Orange Chick'n

Made this last weekend, forgot about it. Recipe from Vegan Comfort Food.

First part, pressing tofu. My tofu tower is now a big thing of flour. It was pretty effective.

Prep for the orange chick'n. Garlic, ginger, green onions, and a bunch of things that don't need measuring ahead of time.

Part one, sauteing the garlic and ginger for a bit, until they smell up the whole kitchen.

Add the green onions, keep at it a bit longer.

Add orange juice, rice vinegar, mirin, white vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, red pepper flakes. Stir it up until it's consistent, then leave it to simmer a while.

Slice up the tofu into cubes, put on baking tray. I used tin foil because I hate cleaning up lately. Stick in oven, bake. They come out golden-brown.

Dump the tofu in the orange sauce, stir it up.

It looks unappetizing, but it was pretty good. Next time, I would probably fry the tofu, and add some vegetables like broccoli or green beans or something. The baked tofu wasn't the best here.
